Location: Blenheim, QLD
Project Type: Commercial / Educational Landscaping, Planting & Turf Installation
Completed: June 2026
Client: Blenheim State School
Builder: Aligned Management Pty Ltd

What did they want?

New and upgraded areas across the school needed finishing with proper soft landscaping: new garden beds, planting, and substantial areas of turf. The landscaping had to complement the new construction and turn unfinished ground into practical, usable outdoor space for the school.

The complication was that the site was still active.

Our works had to be delivered in coordination with the builder and fitted around the wider construction program, to not only ensure the project was finished on time but that each team remained safe throughout.

What we did?

Site and garden bed preparation, premium garden soil, weed control layers, planting and mulching, then large-scale turf preparation and installation including underlay, final levelling and finishing.

Planting was chosen for a school environment: westringia, lomandra and callistemon, all hardy, low maintenance and suited to the conditions. Around 650m² of turf went in over roughly 50m³ of underlay, laid by a three-person crew with machine assistance.

Several garden areas had restricted access, so soil, mulch and materials went in by wheelbarrow rather than machinery. Slower, but it was the only way to get the levels and the finish right across the whole site.

In summary, we completed the following work as part of this project.

What changed?

Unfinished construction ground became completed landscaped space, with established garden beds, planting and usable lawn areas for children to play on.

For the school it meant the new works finally looked finished. For us it is proof that the same approach scales from a residential back yard to a commercial site delivered alongside an active build.
