There is a difference between cutting a hedge and pruning one.
We prune hedges, shrubs, fruit trees and small ornamentals up to roughly three metres, using techniques suited to each plant. We also take the green waste with us.

Cut at the wrong time and the plant pays for it
The right time to prune depends on the species, not on the calendar.
For example, pruning at the wrong point in the cycle can remove next season's flowers or push soft new growth straight into a frost. As a result, repeated poor cuts can thin a hedge, leave it woody at the base and stop it recovering.
That is why we recommend the timing and approach during the site assessment. We assess each plant on its own rather than treating every plant in the garden the same way.
What we do not do
We prune hedges, shrubs, fruit trees and suitable small ornamental trees up to approximately three metres tall.
However, we do not prune trees over three metres or take on large, high-risk or specialist arborist work. If your property needs that type of work, we will tell you at the consultation rather than after the invoice.
